Watery eyes (epiphora) can be a significant problem for a large number of people. Not only can the delicate surrounding eyelid skin become sore, but the increased tears can interfere with vision and even be socially embarrassing. Having a blocked tear duct can also lead to recurrent infections and may need to be addressed before undergoing eye operations such as cataract surgery.
